How is completed warranty work verified?

Megan Sullivan

It is a best practice to have a client sign off on warranty requests when they are complete. CoConstruct allows you to do this electronically. When you complete a request, it moves to the completed list, but is considered to be unverified. You and your client will see a button that says “Verify.” Your clients will also be notified of this in their daily e-mails. When a user clicks that button to verify, CoConstruct automatically enters a comment to show who verified it and when.

It is obviously preferable for the client to verify the items. But, for those (unpleasant) situations when a client refuses to sign off, you can do it as well. CoConstruct recommends that you also add a comment to explain why you had to do the signoff, which will establish a paper trail for your protection. Remember, though, your client will also see that comment.
