Every year The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) recognizes the incredible work of its members through a series of Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards. Construction professionals across the US submit their work for a chance to win a national award recognizing excellence in remodeling across 48 different categories. This past year three CoConstruct customers were among those honored for their work in the following categories: Residential Bath $25,000 to $50,000, Residential Kitchen $60,000 to $100,000, and Residential Addition $100,000 to $250,000.

MKE Design Build
MKE Design Build won the 2021 National CotY Award for Residential Bath $25,000 to $50,000. The homeowners of this project wanted to add a master bathroom to their existing footprint but unfortunately were told no by several contractors before connecting with MKE Design Build. While previous contractors said the project was impossible due to plumbing issues, MKE Design Build identified and implemented a unique solution by using a small amount of space in a first-floor closet to for HVAC and plumbing. With the plumbing hurdle cleared, the rest of the project progressed smoothly to meet the client’s specifications.
MKE Design Build is a fully integrated design build company based in St. Francis, Wisconsin co-owned by Tom Gies and Michelle Swier. The business puts a strong emphasis on building relationships with clients and providing a consultative approach. MKE Design Build has been a part of the CoConstruct family for over four years.
Realty Restoration, LLC
Realty Restoration, LLC, along with the help of Twelve Stones Design, won the 2021 National CotY Award for Residential Kitchen $60,001 to $100,000. The award-winning kitchen remodel helped a family of four with two teenagers reimagine their space to be more functional and better address everyone’s needs. To accomplish this, two walls were demoed, two walls were constructed, and a coastal aesthetic vibe was infused throughout the space.
Realty Restoration, LLC is an Austin, Texas based remodeling firm that provides the highest level of craftsmanship with innovation residential solutions. This firm won three CotY awards last year including Residential Kitchen over $150,000. Realty Restoration, LLC has been a part of the CoConstruct family for two years.
Ben Quie & Sons
Ben Quie & Sons won the 2021 National CotY Award for Residential Addition $100,000 to $250,000. This award-winning addition of a second-story bathroom managed to seamlessly keep the style of a 1921 Saint Paul classic while maximizing the small footprint.
Ben Quie & Sons is a father-son design-build company founded in 1988 that specializes in vintage and historic home remodeling, renovation, and restoration. They have been a part of the CoConstruct family since 2017.
